April 2026: AI Integration and WhatsApp Automation
Welcome to our April 2026 update! This month brings massive improvements to Cashy AI, including brand-new WhatsApp integration and expanded AI capabilities across your entire workspace.
🚀 New Features
- Cashy AI on WhatsApp: We implemented a new WhatsApp webhook handler, allowing you to interact with Cashy AI directly via WhatsApp. This includes automatic phone verification, OTP support, and idle timeouts that automatically start fresh conversations after 24 hours.
- Expanded AI Capabilities: We added a vast array of new tools to Cashy AI. Cashy can now help you retrieve, create, update, and delete Customers, Goals, Assets, Taxes, Categories, Units, Custom Fields, and Contract Types.
- AI Reporting: We added 10 new report tools to the Cashy AI agent, allowing you to generate insights on the fly.
- Mermaid Diagram Support: Cashy AI now supports generating and displaying Markdown and Mermaid.js diagrams, allowing you to click to expand them into a fullscreen view.
- Chat Sidebar: We added a toggleable conversation history sidebar (with mobile drawer support) so you can easily load or delete past Cashy AI chats.
⚡ Improvements
- AI Model: We upgraded Cashy AI's model to better thinking and decision making.
- WhatsApp Reliability: We limited WhatsApp OTP sends to 3 per day per user to prevent abuse, moved OTP template settings to the environment for better security, and upgraded to the Meta Cloud API v25.
- UI Enhancements: We updated the WhatsApp verification badge state, disabled the send button immediately after verification to prevent duplicate sends, and made sure all Cashy AI outputs are properly labeled with a "Draft/Suggestion" disclaimer.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- We fixed an issue where the authenticated user wasn't properly set before invoking the AI agent via WhatsApp webhooks.
- We resolved an issue with WhatsApp OTP template payload handling.
- We fixed the WhatsApp webhook verification to properly accept Meta's validation parameters.
- We corrected an issue where your chosen theme color was not being applied within the Cashy AI chat panel.
