May 2026: More Ways to Pay and Enhanced AI

Welcome to our May 2026 update! This month, we've focused on bringing you new payment options, smarter AI interactions, and a bunch of quality-of-life improvements to make managing your finances easier than ever.

🚀 New Features

  • Credit Cards Management: We added a dedicated Credit Cards page, allowing you to easily track your accounts and payments.
  • BillPlz Integration: We introduced support for the BillPlz payment gateway, giving your customers another convenient way to pay.
  • Aged Payables Summary: We added a new Aged Payables Summary report to help you track and manage your outstanding bills more effectively.
  • Password-Protected Quotations: We added password protection for shared quotation links, ensuring your sensitive pricing information remains secure.
  • Journal Entry Attachments: We now support adding attachments to your journal entries for better record-keeping.
  • New Plan Tiers: We introduced Starter, Professional, and Enterprise plan tiers to better suit businesses of all sizes.
  • Expanded Language Support: We added Malay and Tamil options to the language picker, making our platform accessible to even more users.

⚡ Improvements

  • Smarter Cashy AI: We enhanced Cashy AI so it automatically looks up relevant records before asking you for information, saving you time.
  • Chart of Accounts Clarity: We now display each individual bank account directly in the Chart of Accounts for a clearer financial overview.
  • Enhanced Invoice PDFs: We updated downloaded invoice PDFs to prominently feature your company logo.
  • Better Customer Payment Pages: We improved the customer payment experience by showing unit measurements, preserving line breaks in descriptions, and renaming the "Product" column to a more intuitive "Item".
  • Rich-Text Bank Details: We added a rich-text editor for your Bank Details in the company settings, allowing for better formatting.
  • Navigation Updates: We moved the Balance Sheet and Trial Balance to the Report menu and added a quick shortcut to create new journal entries in the header dropdown.
  • Flexible Numbering: We added a Year-Month-Day toggle format for your invoice, quotation, and retainer numbers.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • We resolved an issue where journal entries with perfectly balanced amounts were being rejected if they included cents.
  • We fixed a bug that caused the invoice item dropdown to break when no product was selected.
  • We resolved an error during bill creation that occurred if the latest bill number contained non-numeric characters.
  • We fixed an issue that prevented users from properly selecting Malay and Tamil languages on the login screen and dashboard.
  • We corrected the toolbar active color display in the edit and show views for better visual consistency.

April 2026: AI Integration and WhatsApp Automation

Welcome to our April 2026 update! This month brings massive improvements to Cashy AI, including brand-new WhatsApp integration and expanded AI capabilities across your entire workspace.

🚀 New Features

  • Cashy AI on WhatsApp: We implemented a new WhatsApp webhook handler, allowing you to interact with Cashy AI directly via WhatsApp. This includes automatic phone verification, OTP support, and idle timeouts that automatically start fresh conversations after 24 hours.
  • Expanded AI Capabilities: We added a vast array of new tools to Cashy AI. Cashy can now help you retrieve, create, update, and delete Customers, Goals, Assets, Taxes, Categories, Units, Custom Fields, and Contract Types.
  • AI Reporting: We added 10 new report tools to the Cashy AI agent, allowing you to generate insights on the fly.
  • Mermaid Diagram Support: Cashy AI now supports generating and displaying Markdown and Mermaid.js diagrams, allowing you to click to expand them into a fullscreen view.
  • Chat Sidebar: We added a toggleable conversation history sidebar (with mobile drawer support) so you can easily load or delete past Cashy AI chats.

⚡ Improvements

  • AI Model: We upgraded Cashy AI's model to better thinking and decision making.
  • WhatsApp Reliability: We limited WhatsApp OTP sends to 3 per day per user to prevent abuse, moved OTP template settings to the environment for better security, and upgraded to the Meta Cloud API v25.
  • UI Enhancements: We updated the WhatsApp verification badge state, disabled the send button immediately after verification to prevent duplicate sends, and made sure all Cashy AI outputs are properly labeled with a "Draft/Suggestion" disclaimer.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • We fixed an issue where the authenticated user wasn't properly set before invoking the AI agent via WhatsApp webhooks.
  • We resolved an issue with WhatsApp OTP template payload handling.
  • We fixed the WhatsApp webhook verification to properly accept Meta's validation parameters.
  • We corrected an issue where your chosen theme color was not being applied within the Cashy AI chat panel.

March 2026: Tax Verification and Performance Improvements

Welcome to our March 2026 update! This month, we've focused heavily on tax verification features, ensuring MyInvois compliance, and giving the dashboard a major speed boost.

🚀 New Features

  • Tax Number Verification: We added the ability to automatically and manually verify tax numbers for Customers, Vendors, and your own Company. We’ve also added visual green-check indicators to customer and vendor views so you instantly know when a tax number is verified.
  • MyInvois Integration: We added a new MyInvois Settings page to your company settings, allowing you to seamlessly connect and validate your MyInvois credentials.
  • Email Configuration: We introduced the "Bring your own email server" feature for company users who want to send quotations and invoices using their own email domain and server.

⚡ Improvements

  • Dashboard Speed Boost: We significantly optimized the dashboard queries (reducing them from ~229 down to ~50), which will make your dashboard load noticeably faster.
  • UI Polish: We improved alignment for tax verification icons and ensured that input group addon icons match the background colors properly in both light and dark modes.
  • Settings Performance: We improved overall app performance by caching settings at the user level.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • We fixed several authentication and SSL certificate errors related to the MyInvois preprod and sandbox environments.
  • We fixed an issue where the verify tax number button was not enabling correctly.
  • We resolved an error that occurred when validating MyInvois settings that weren't properly saved in the database.
  • We fixed toast notification colors during tax verification to ensure they display properly.
